  Coronavirus (CoV) refers to a large category of viruses, being known of causing various diseases, with different clinical symptoms shown by patients from common cold to severe pulmonary infection, such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The newly found CoV in Wuhan (hereinafter referred to as 2019-nCoV) is a novel form of CoV not previously found in humans.

  Novel Cov National Science and Technology Resource Service System (hereinafter referred to as System) is co-established by National Microbiology Data Center and National Pathogen Resource Collection Center, together with other joint efforts including Chinese Center For Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute For Viral Disease Control and Prevention under Chinese Center For Disease Control and Prevention, Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences Key Laboratory of Pathogenic Microbiology and Immunology, IMCAS-CDC Joint Research Center of Pathogenic Microbiology Resources.

  The System will timely publish authoritative information on science and technology resources as well as scientific data concerning novel Cov according to its scientific research progress so as to provide supports for scientific study on 2019-nCoV and special information service of science and technology resources dealing with the current prevention and control of pneumonia caused by 2019-nCoV infection.Close

1.Real time RT-PCR for f 2019 novel Cov detection
Recommended open reading frame 1ab(open reading frame,ORF1ab)、Specific primers and probes for nucleoprotein(nucleoprotein,N)gene region。

2.Results
Negative: No Ct value or Ct=40。
Positive:Ct value<37
Suspicious results:If Ct value is between 37-40, it is recommended to repeat the experiment. If Ct value<40 for the repeated experiment,and there are peaks in amplification curve,the sample is considered to be positive, otherwise, it is considered to be negative result.
Resources and Data Usage Policy
  The novel Cov – 2019 nCoV resources can be externally used and shared (by signing Sharing Agreement) in compliance with relevant rules and regulations. The using units should indicate the source on related materials (including but not limited to publications and patent) in the process of using: National Pathogen Resource Collection Center (National Institute For Viral Disease Control and Prevention under Chinese Center For Disease Control and Prevention) and NPRC Number……More
  The novel Cov – 2019 nCoV resources can be externally used and shared (by signing Sharing Agreement) in compliance with relevant rules and regulations.   The using units should return the resources to National Pathogen Resource Collection Center (National Institute For Viral Disease Control and Prevention under Chinese Center For Disease Control and Prevention) or carry out local destruction when related activities are finished. The certificate of destruction and using details should be issued and provided to the National Pathogen Resource Collection Center.

  The associated results and scientific data achieved (including but not limited to scientific publication and patent) by using units should be collected and submitted to the National Pathogen Resource Collection Center and National Microbiology Data Center.Put more
